Every two years, the Chair and Deputy Chair of the Board positions rotate across the chambers, aligning with the expiration dates of directors' terms at the AGM in May. These dates follow the Special Resolutions adopted in the Responsible Forest Management Australia (RFMA) Constitution during the 2012 FSC AGM, detailed in Chapter 11 of the RFMA Constitution.

Directors, elected for three-year terms at FSC Australia's AGM, involve three positions—one from each chamber—facing re-election. Nominations for director vacancies undergo an election at the AGM.
