Update on Status of Revision Process
FSC is in the process of updating and streamlining the Chain of Custody (CoC) requirements (and the corresponding accreditation standard for certification bodies).
We have now developed two draft revised Standards which reflect feedback previously collected through the conceptual phase consultation and working group meetings.

Participate in the Consultation
The public consultation is open from 15 November 2025 to 25 January 2026, in order to seek feedback from interested stakeholders on the draft revised Standards. For guidance on how to participate in the consultation and provide your feedback, please see the ‘How to Participate in a Consultation’ handout.
Upcoming webinars
FSC will conduct two webinars with simultaneous translation in Spanish and French for stakeholders to learn more about the draft revised Standards, and how they can participate in the consultation.
