Large dimension timbers from bridges and wharves are sorted and docked to length for resale as pergola post and beam, porticos, exposed ceiling joists, garden seats, retaining walls and other visible structural elements of residential and commercial projects.
Some timbers are selected for resaw and are planed to a dressed finish. Timberzoo produces a range of speciality lining boards, floorboards and seasoned joinery boards from recycled native timber. Importantly, the production process includes case-drying and acclimatisation of the timber in a purpose-built drying shed on site at Timberzoo. This is heated with wood boiler fuelled by waste wood from timber dockings produced on site.
Both bridge timbers and re-milled dressed timbers qualify to be certified as FSC Recycled 100% at Timberzoo.
Sawn structural sizes of plantation Sugar Gum are another important part of the product range at Timberzoo. These posts, beams – and decking as well – are sourced from Yarra Timbers at Lismore and made available to the trade and public as stock lines. Timberzoo has Chain-of-Custody certification for this line of product and it is certified as FSC 100%.
