FSC certificate holders that are sourcing non-certified materials from Australia are required to use FSC-NRA-AU V2-0 National Risk Assessment for Australia to mitigate the risk of sourcing materials from FSC's five categories of unacceptable materials.

The use of the associated High Conservation Values Evaluation Framework is mandatory when mitigating risk related to Controlled Wood Category 3 (High Conservation Values).

The risk assessment and the High Conservation Values Evaluation Framework were both revised in August 2021.
