FSC ANZ is in an exciting phase, embarking on the second year of our five-year strategic plan, to enhance our reach and impact as an organisation. Several important initiatives are already underway, including the certification of new forests, the growth of our promotional licences program, the formation of our Standards Development Group, the revision of the Australian National Forest Stewardship Standard and the review of our National Risk Assessment for Controlled Wood. The FSC ANZ Board of Directors play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation and success of this work.

FSC ANZ's momentum and impact has never been greater, and the role of each Board member is vital to ensuring our success as we expand our certified forest area, deepen the commitment to FSC within supply chains and activate our retail supporters to build consumer awareness of the importance of FSC's mission.

Directors serve for three (3) year terms. The positions are determined at the FSC Australia’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) either by;

 • direct appointment when number of eligible candidates does not exceed the relevant vacancy, or
 • are elected by the FSC members when there are more eligible candidates for the vacant positions.

The successful nominees will be determined and announced at the AGM to be held on 26 May 2022, in Melbourne.

The Board

The Board is comprised of nine (9) Directors, three (3) from each sectoral chamber.

Appointments are staggered and occur annually, such that three (3) positions become available every year.

This year, due to several casual vacancies in 2022, we have 4 director positions available across the three chambers.

The “Nomination as a Director of Responsible Forest Management Australia Limited” form can be accessed and downloaded below. Kindly note that successful nominees will be required to sign the FSC Australia Code of Conduct upon appointment. Completed forms are to be sent to info@mertons.com.au
