Craig

Throughout his time at FSC ANZ, Craig has achieved numerous milestones, with notable contributions including spearheading the revisions of the National Risk Assessment for New Zealand and the recently published Forest Stewardship Standard (FSS) of New Zealand. His diverse skill set and keen wit breathed new life into the stalled revision process of the FSS, and his dedication animated the New Zealand Standards Development Group, driving the process to successful completion - an achievement that stands out as one of the most significant in FSC ANZ's history.

Reflecting on his invaluable experience, Craig shared, "Working with the Forest Stewardship Council has been an unforgettable journey, one that I will always cherish. It has allowed me to meet inspiring people and explore places that have broadened my perspective, showcasing the very best that the forestry industry has to offer. As I step away from this role and embrace new adventures, I am eager to witness the bright future that awaits FSC. Alas, five years proved to be too short a time to fully immerse myself among such excellent and admirable stakeholders. It is time for me to move forward and so, with mixed emotions, I bid you all a very fond farewell."

As Craig embarks on a new chapter in his professional journey, FSC ANZ is actively outlining a comprehensive process to identify his worthy successor. While the organisation undertakes this crucial task, New Zealand-based stakeholders are encouraged to reach out to the following FSC ANZ team members for any questions and support they may require:

  • If you have a query regarding policy and certification, please contact Stefan (s.jensen@au.fsc.org)
  • If you have a query regarding trademark licensing, or infringements please contact Jennifer (j.nicita@au.fsc.org)
  • If you have a query regarding comms, marketing or FSC Forest Week please contact Sarah (s.day@au.fsc.org)
  • If you have a general query, please contact our info team (info@au.fsc.org)

The legacy Craig leaves behind will undoubtedly inspire and motivate those who continue to champion sustainable forestry practices in the region and beyond. We wish him the best of luck and success in all his future endeavours.
