FSC Australia are pleased to announce that we will be holding a public forum in Melbourne, on 22 March, at Library at the Dock, Docklands.
The forum will run from 2pm to 6pm. It will consist of two sessions, one on forestry and certification the second on brand awareness, followed by networking drinks. Venue information, costs, and registration can be found on our Eventbrite page.
We want to bring together local experts, stakeholders, and members to discuss the opportunities and challenges that exist for FSC in Australia. The forum provides a great chance to hear from, and build stronger relationships with the diverse groups that make up the FSC network.
The forum also marks an exciting visit and opportunity to engage with the FSC Global Director, Kim Carstensen. Kim Carstensen is the Director General of the Forest Stewardship Council, a position he has held since October 2012.
Mr. Carstensen has a proven track record as a global leader within the environment and development sectors, including former roles with FairGreenSolutions and WWF, which make him extremely well-suited to consolidate FSC’s position as a global leader in responsible forest certification.
