Chain of Custody
For the first half of 2013, Asia Pacific has been the region driving the growth of FSC Chain of Custody (COC) certificate growth, contributing to half of the new COC certificates in the FSC system.
Among all Asia Pacific countries, China remains to be the key driver and expanded rapidly. In the first six months of 2013, China has over six hundreds new certificates, which is even more than the increment in China for 2012 full year.
Forest Management
For certified forest area, Asia Pacific is keeping its pace on the expansion, with over 1.4 million hectare of newly certified forest in the first six months. China and Turkey are the two key expansion countries, each with over 500k hectare new certified area.
