To FSC Australia's valued members and stakeholders.
We have just been advised urgently by the Australian Financial Review that comments made by Vica Bayley (The Wilderness Society) have been incorrectly cut and attributed to be the words of our CEO, Natalie Reynolds.
This specifically refers to the quote on page 4 "It shows a high level of naïveté to say you can log forests that are currently World Heritage Listed and delist them and still expect to get FSC certification"
This statement was not made by our CEO.
The Australian Financial Review have taken the matter seriously and have corrected the online version, and will print a correction tomorrow. In addition they are taking steps to address this matter with key stakeholders and government officials.
