Paul McNamara, Assistant Secretary of the Forestry Branch, Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry addressed FSC Australia's membership this morning at the AGM.
Mr. McNamara, on behalf of Senator the Hon. Joe Ludwig MP, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, reconfirmed the Federal Government's commitment to providing this milestone-based funding in the 2013-2014 financial year, and the development of the FSC Australian National Forestry Standard.
"The Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Sid Sidebottom, has welcomed the recognition today of the Australian Government’s $500,000 funding to help develop the Forest Stewardship Council’s National Standard for forest management."
