Breaking research by GlobeScan for FSC reveals that a steep rise in deforestation and climate change concerns is reshaping consumers' behaviour worldwide. The study found that shoppers want to make more sustainability-focused purchasing decisions, and trusted third-party certification labels like FSC play an increasingly important role. Their main concern is the impact of deforestation on climate change and biodiversity loss.

The findings demonstrate that FSC's visibility and trust are rising globally, with fifty-four per cent of consumers expressing high levels of trust in FSC's role in protecting forests above all other actors – including governments and companies. By leveraging this consumer insight, brands and businesses can adapt to the changing consumer demand landscape.
