The program offers, among many things, incentives and support to retailers to promote their FSC certified products. The FSC trademark guarantees consumers their purchases are responsibly sourced, support forest conservation, offer social benefits and community support.

FSC ANZ is delighted to welcome a number of new Trademark License Holders in 2020, showing that better forest management is a priority for several Australian retailers. Large retailers Kmart and Aldi have joined, as well as online retailers Comfy Koalas and Ecoriginals, and Koala Sleep who market their furniture products in Japan and Korea. Australia’s largest provider of industrial and safety supplies J. Blackwood & Son Pty Ltd has also joined the program in Australia.

In addition to the new members, we welcome back the Warehouse Group in New Zealand and Modern Star printers in Australia. The Trademark program is a critical element in increasing awareness of FSC certified products to consumers.

The program protects the credibility of the FSC system through the lawful application of our trademarks, and educates consumers on ethical choices in their purchases. As consumers increasingly choose environmentally sustainable products that address climate change, FSC welcomes conversations with retailers that help us work toward our common sustainability goals.

Please contact the FSC Trademarks and Partnership Manager, Patricia Fitzsimons at trademarks@au.fsc.org to find out more about our program.
