Kaitlyn Cock, a Cadet Forester at Forico Pty Limited, brings a fresh perspective to the industry. Joining Forico in Tasmania in 2022, Kaitlyn's hands-on experience across various divisions highlights the industry's dynamic nature and its potential to attract individuals from diverse backgrounds. Reflecting on her entry into the industry, Kaitlyn shares, “Being a young woman fresh from school and coming into an industry that has been operating for hundreds of years was daunting at first. But it gives me opportunities to learn, grow and meet new people. A job in forestry can be very diverse which makes my role interesting, challenging and flexible. Every day is something different and every day my workplace is somewhere new, which is something I truly love. Being a woman in forestry has turned out to be a fulfilling, rewarding and enjoyable job.”

On her journey in the industry, Vanja explains, "I've been fortunate to start my career working for companies with women in management and leadership positions," Vanja emphasises. "Similarly, I have rejoiced every time another young woman has joined my workplace.
