In the absence of an FSC National standard, the Rainforest Alliance currently uses an Interim Forest Management standard to assess forests and plantations in Australia.
The Rainforest Alliance supports the development of an Australian National FSC Standard, however while that process is underway we want to make sure our Interim standard is regularly revised and improved. Our current Interim Standard was approved in 2008 and a revision is now needed.
